Are you an author interested in publishing a book as part of a cooperative steamy contemporary romance series on the theme of “Hot Guy Summer” in late May/early June 2022?
Then you’re in the right place!
I’m looking for intrepid authors to join a new collaborative contemporary romance series on the theme of beaches, oceans, summer love, and all things HOT! This is a great opportunity to tap into a new audience, gain new fans, and work with new authors.
Story requirements:
Each book must be a sexy contemporary romance involving summertime AND beaches in some way. Everything else is up to you!
The stories in this short contemporary romance series can be naughty or nice, sexy or sweet, taboo or traditional — but they have to be hot (at least one explicit sex scene), fun, and entertaining. :)
There will not be a shared world, just a shared theme and setting — anything that has to do with beaches, set around summer! You can riff on this as you please. Think sex on the beach, boardwalk shenanigans, lake life, cruises, camping on a lake, etc. Have fun with this!
All stories must be between 8,000 and 15,000 words in length.
All stories must be priced at $0.99 and available on Kindle Unlimited for the first 3 months of publication. We are providing e-book covers only, with paperback covers available for an additional fee. After the first 3 months, you may publish and price your story as you please.
Author details:
Authors must have 3 previously published titles with a minimum of 10 reviews per title.
Every author will send out a newsletter to their list at the beginning of the release period, when their individual book goes live, and once all books in the series are live.
Each participating author will remain the sole owner of their story. Each story will be published separately as an ebook via KDP by the author (or author team, if there’s more than one author working on the individual story).
There will be no compensation outside of what your book earns individually on Amazon. You will not be paid by Poppy Parkes.
Cost:
Each author will work with Poppy to create a cover in our matching theme. Each author is responsible for paying for their cover and any stock photo imagery that goes with that. Covers will be $40 USD each (not including the stock photo) to cover the time spent on design. Authors may choose to have an optional paperback cover made for an additional $50.
Each author will also contribute $10 to be used for advertising purposes.
Cover design and advertising fees are non-refundable.
